RYLO REPORT FOR WINTER MEET 2012

The 2012 Youth Winter meet was held on 27^th-29^th January at Coventry Scout camp, and hosted by Coventry DA.

We would like to thank Dean Bennett and his wife Jackie on behalf of Central Counties for being committed to running this meet even though they have no CCY leaders or members

There was a good selection of food and drinks available to purchase over the weekend at reasonable prices.

There were 43 CCY members that camped over the weekend from 3DA's Nott's DA, North Warwick's' DA and West Midlands DA.

The activities available to do over the weekend were orienteering, archery, air rifle shooting and a quiz and 2 discos.

Myself and Hazel would like to say a huge thank you to all that helped make this meet run smoothly.

We would also like to thank the Chairman of Central Counties Norman Hemsley and his wife Linda also David Wilkes and his wife Marlene for attending this meet and showing their support to us as this was our first meet as RYLO's.

Thanks go to Dean for the donation of a new trophy for the combined sports at the winter meet.

The sports were won by Nott's DA CCY members. The quiz was won by north Warwick's DA.

The kids really enjoyed the meet this year as it was something different from other years. The kids all made new friends and can’t wait till the summer meet in May where they will all be together again.
