Dog Lane Fisheries
20th - 22nd May 2011
Fishing Competition

Eighteen units attended this lovely site, 1 from Northants,
1 from Birmingham, 1 from Hereford and Worcester
and 15 Coventry DA.

On Saturday morning at 9am 12 fishermen and 1 fisher lady randomly chose their peg number from a drum, and put a £1 coin into the kitty for the heaviest fish caught competition
between themselves.
The weather, although blustery at times remained dry in the day and the sun shone over the fishing lakes.
Dog Lane Fishery is a truly beautiful site, and not just for those who love fishing. It is well landscaped with an abundance of different trees and plants. There is a toilet and shower block on site and a mobile catering unit serving a variety of food.

"Haven't had a bite in ages"

"Maybe he should have tried the burger bar instead !!!"
A short walk takes you into the lovely village
where there is a well-stocked shop,
a club house which has regular entertainment and all are welcome, and several public houses who serve reasonable food.
It is well worth a visit.
At 2pm Trevor blew the whistle for the fishermen
to reel their rods in and the weighing of their catches took place.
