What a fantastic Easter break we all had. With 42 units in total attending, 3 of those were camper vans, 1 tent and 1 trailer tent. In all 35 children attended with a good variation in ages. We welcomed new members the Hartfields, their first ever caravan trip with their lovley boys George and William. The firthest traveller was from Northumbria, and we also had visitors from Northants, Worcester and Hereford, BCC, Avon, Chase, West Mids, Staffs, North Warks, Glos and CDA DA's. On Saturday the Party Tent was erected and several attended a get together in the evening.
Sunday morning we had a coffee morning where hotcross buns were served along with fairy cakes for those who didn't like the buns. The children's Easter Bonnet's contestants paraded for us and we were unable to choose a winner so all received a prize. Then the children young and old, went straight off on a hunt for letters to spell the mystery word to win a prize, and guess what it was, yes...... 'Hot Cross Buns'. Followed by egg decorating and basket making for those who wished to join in.
We all went off for a rest and sun bathe and reutrned at 7.30pm for the prize giving and raffle draw. Several games of Hoy were played and a visitor entertained us with the 'Mystery Train' game, errrrm. Say no more!!!!
All we can say is 'Thank You' all for supporting our CDA Easter Meet. Especially Pauline and Bob for donating the briliant 'Old Fashioned Sweet Hamper' for our Raffle to support the Harrison's fundraising appeal for his operation.
We very much look forward to seeing you all soon.
