Coventry held it's A.G.M at the weekend where Bob Canavan has decided to step down as chairman having held the position for three years.
Below is Bob welcomming the new chairman Mark Jaques
Hi I would like to say a big thank you to every one that voted for me to join the CDA committee and for the committee for voting me to become the DA chairman. If you did not come along to the AGM then you missed a lovely weekend, weather was not bad. The chip supper we had on Saturday night with the disco to follow was wonderful, a big thank you to Nathan for the music compilations. Thank you to Bob Canavan, he has been a fabulous Chairman for the past three years, all though I have only been with the DA for the past year, I've learnt a lot to take forward into my term as chairman. This seems to be a lot of thank you's but there is another one, thank you to Sue Canavan as the previous treasurer again for the last three years and good luck to Dave Sewell who has taken over. Bob and Sue will still be on the committee and will be in trouble with me if we don't see them on the field. So what's for the future in the C.D.A. well I hope we can encourage a lot of new members with or without children all are welcome, we as a DA have a lot planned in 2010/2011 especially for the family's out there that are members but never tried DA camping before, knowledge, freindship, and a lot of FUN. So here's to 2010 and happy camping hope to see you all out on the field.
