Half Term at Brean

Hi ya All,

I arrived a day late to Brean due to a “Mishap” with a sheet of glass a couple of days before so the Kids & I were pretty keen to get the holiday started, the disappointment soon disappeared thanks to a warm welcome from the stewards and also our friends Jill and Jeff Buckler on our arrival, you know your onto a winner when the kids shout “Dad - Shreks Here!” In an affectionate way Jeff!
Due to my unfortunate “mishap” I was sporting a plaster cast on my right arm which, lets just say made things a “little bit difficult” but again thanks to the spirit of club members Jeff and Robert my awning was up and the holiday could now begin proper.

The weather wasn’t great (but then again it was October!) so we had some grub and headed for the club, after a long day we just enjoyed a “chilled out” few beers whilst the kids made loads of new friends before heading back for some well earned zzzzzz’s.
Its not always easy to keep three daughters entertained but as with all rallies the kids soon make friends and this week was true to form, Hollie and Kia not only met up with some friends from school but also made a great new friend in Rob’s daughter Jaye and “our Jade” soon tagged up with Jeff and Jill’s daughter, the life n’ soul of the party “disco diva” Amy! (She even got the grumpy old men - me and Rob up dancing) Tara Palmer Tomlinson and Tamara Bequith eat your heart out!!!

We had a couple of great days out at Brean Leisure Park and Weston Super Mare and we were in the Club almost every night for the great cabaret and disco (the DJ said it was the best audience he’d had all Season!) What started off as a disastrous week turned into a great old-fashioned seaside holiday with the friendliest people as could wish for, laughing with old friends and making friends who will become old friends!

JEFF & JILL HAVE ASKED US TO COME ON LOADS OF RALLIES AND IT’S ALWAYS SEEMED LIKE TOO MUCH EFFORT! THIS WEEK MADE ME REALISE WHAT I’M MISSING. I’VE PROMISED MYSELF I’LL MAKE THE EFFORT AND GET OUT MORE....’COS IT’S WORTH IT!!!

REVIEW OF BREAN

I think it was very good and we made some new friends and met up with old friends. The venue was very well looked after and I really enjoyed it. The toilets were clean and there was no litter anywhere. The play areas / play pit were fun, clean and well very nice.
We loved it!!!
