This years Easter meet was held at the rally site at Hyde Farm Pinvin. The site was full on the Thursday night so we had to start filling up the overspill site. There was a good turn out of units (80 in all) some units coming up from the south coast coming up to join us, also some new members to rallying. The weather was kind to us all even though it was a bit windy, a few spots of rain on the Tuesday morning but at 6 O'Clock in the morning who was bothered whilst still tucked up in bed. This week-end saw our first charity fund raising week-end of the year, with (we hope) more to follow, with last years figure of £1500 to beat (to the Northampton and Warwickshire Air Ambulance) with your help we are well on the way. The week-end was full of entertainment with the disco and karaoke (with people paying to sing and people paying to get them off) and dancing, egg decorating for the kids followed by the easter bonnet making, egg hunting with the youngest group getting back to the finish first. Sunday afternoon saw the water come out (as it was quite warm) for the people in the stocks with 50P for a sponge and a £1 for a bucket but quite a few people got more than one bucket and not from the front as you can see in the pictures. Most of us see plenty of people walking there dogs around the sites but how many see two polecats being walked, the younger children found these very friendly. Below are some of the picture that were taken
Abigail getting to grips in making her Easter bonnet. Whilst other children get down to decorating there eggs.
The art of balloon modelling done by the chairman Bob. Heather and Harry decorating their eggs. The finished decorated eggs.
The full line up Easter Bonnets.
The youngest egg hunters came in first. Heather and Abigail the first ones on the karaoke.
The party tents gradually filling up ready for the Saturday night charity auction.
More money on the Sunday was raised with people volunteering to go into the stocks to be pelted with wet sponges.
The buckets of water did not only come from the front. This was Chris CDA secretary just after she got a bucket of water over her from over the fence from Roy Parker. Roy was certainly enjoying himself handing out buckets water Dave Sewell on the receiving end and getting wet himself in the bargain.
Tim trying his hand with the sponges against Dave Sewell. Watch out Bob Roy has got the bucket again.
Mark and Tammy's two pole cats enjoying themselves and they liked the fuss from the children and the grown ups.
Chris getting her own back on Tim. Mark and Tammy the eventual winners of the water balloon throwing.
some of the grown ups trying the karaoke.
The Monday saw the trial run of one of the kids games.
Well we hope you enjoyed looking at these pics.
