25th - 27th June 2010. Fir Tree Farm, Warmington. "Fishing Competition" Meet

The hottest weekend of the year brought 17 units to this picturesque site. The fishermen and one lady began the competition at 9am on Saturday morning. Lots of fish of all sizes were caught and the weigh-in took place at 1pm and was closely run with only grams between the two largest catches. Les Hoskins was the winner with a princely catch of 6.8kgs, with Mick Ibbotson winning the largest fish caught. Well done to all who took part on what was a scorcher of a morning but to Les and Mick......                       "Congratulations to you both" Sunday morning was again brilliantly hot and sunny with Coffee Morning at 10.30am where the Fishing Competition Presentation took place. Dave Price presented  the Trophy to Les and also presented a money prize to Mick which was a competition between the fishermen and lady for who caught the heaviest fish. Mick caught the heaviest fish of the morning weighing a presentable 1.4kgs.              Thanks must go to the Stewards for                   the Meet, Lyn, Dave and baby .
